Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES seeks an experienced Manufacturing Automation Design Engineer to support a major expansion at its Oss site. You will design, engineer, test, and implement automation for new production equipment, guiding projects through design, commissioning and handover.

Join a multidisciplinary team and work with global IT stakeholders and external vendors to ensure compliant, scalable automation solutions for large-scale expansion. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering automation projects in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA (Siemens/Rockwell/iFix).
• Equipment engineering, installation, commissioning, startup.
• Experience in pharma or life sciences manufacturing.
• IT infrastructure knowledge (Windows AD) and networks.
• Familiar with GAMP and computerized systems validation.
• Cross-functional/global teamwork capability.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel within Europe.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions aligned with project goals.
• Perform requirements gathering, system analysis, and risk assessments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design records.
• Support the programming, configuration, upgrading, and optimization of automation systems.
• Execute FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ testing and document results.
• Collaborate with vendors and global IT teams to integrate equipment and systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during project execution.
• Support project planning, scoping and feasibility assessments.
• Monitor progress and report risks to stakeholders.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure automation complies with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
