Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an Automation Engineer to support equipment installation and management in the pharmaceutical sector. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in biotech/pharma manufacturing and are flexible to work outside standard hours. This role is contract-based with a payrate of €33.41 to €35.17 per hour and requires onsite presence four days a week.

Our client's products reach over 10 million patients worldwide, that is why we are supporting them in looking for an Automation Engineer, who will oversee automation criteria throughout the design, installation, and lifecycle of manufacturing equipment.

• Initial contract of 12 months (as external contractor) - Possibility to be renewed
• hourly payrate: from 33,41EUR to 35,17EUR (5.779 - 6.084 a month)
• Presence on site: 4 days a week

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and qualification
• Manage automation deliverables and timelines
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and vendor testing
• Ensure equipment meets internal security and automation standards
• Conduct Data Integrity and Preventive Maintenance assessments
• Advise on automation spare parts and backup/restore procedures
• Maintain Asset Parameter Lists and connect equipment to data historian systems
• Provide automation training and operational support

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Automation Engineering or Industrial Information Systems
• 5+ years in automation within biotech/pharma manufacturing
• Experience with labeling/packaging equipment and systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, Cognex)
• Familiarity with GMP and other regulated environments
• Fluent in English; flexible to work outside standard hours
