Job summary

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Leiden B.V. is seeking a Scientist Chemistry to set up analytical methods for pharmaceutical (semi-) finished products and assess method feasibility on site.

You will drive project plans, coordinate with Sales and Project Management, and prepare work plans using DOE. The role requires PhD or MSc/BSc with 2+ years in analytical chemistry, expertise in method development/validation, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• : You have a PhD, or a MSc / BSc with at least 2 years of relevant working experience, in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or organic chemistry
• : You have experience in development and validation of analytical methods, preferable in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
• : You are familiar with relevant ICH guidelines
• : You have experience or strong affinity with HPLC techniques, preferentially with analyzing small molecule drugs
• : You are independent, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, efficient and accurate, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
• : You are capable of running several experiments in parallel and working in a flexible way
• : You enjoy working in a team and you welcome and use feedback as an opportunity to learn and grow
• : You are fluent in English (basic knowledge of Dutch is an advantage, but not a requirement)
• : You are located in the Netherlands and in possession of a work permit

Responsibilities

• Drawing up project plans in consultation with Sales and/or the Project Management
• Assist in the preparation of quotations for projects
• Translate customer demand into protocol and/or work plan
• Overall management of the assigned projects including coordination, planning and communication
• Prepare a work plan with the help of Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Review and interpretation of generated data
• Troubleshooting company-wide laboratory matters
• Conducting investigations into complaints and deviations and reporting this to QA
• Taking care of corrective and preventive measures in the event of complaints and deviations
