Job summary

The British School in the Netherlands (BSN) is seeking a part-time Science Technician for Senior School Leidschenveen in The Hague area. The role supports the delivery of the science curriculum with 60% FTE over three days (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays).

You will assist with demonstrations, experiments and laboratory upkeep for Years 7-13. Ideal candidates have a laboratory background, strong English, and a science qualification; Dutch is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory environment with Health & Safety awareness.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.
• Dutch language is advantageous.
• Science qualification and secondary school experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide support through the preparation of class demonstrations and practical experiments by setting up and testing apparatus.
• Responsible for routine maintenance within the laboratory, keeping supplies replenished and the general upkeep of the rooms.
