Job summary

NTU International A/S is preparing a proposal for a project titled “Technical Assistance for Support Measures – Cooperation Facility for Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Island Countries.” The assignment seeks a Non-Key Expert – Renewable Energy to support renewable energy development, energy access and climate-resilient energy systems.

The contract is planned to start 1 February 2027 for 36 months, with the primary location in Papua New Guinea and potential missions in the Pacific region.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably postgraduate, in renewable energy or related fields.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including ability to draft high-quality documents.
• Strong knowledge of the renewable energy sector, ideally PNG and the Pacific region.
• Ability to travel internationally and locally, including to remote areas.
• Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Support renewable energy project development and implementation.
• Contribute to energy access, off-grid and mini-grid systems.
• Assist in energy policy, regulation and institutional strengthening.
• Monitor and evaluate energy-sector programmes.
