Job summary

Total Solutions is seeking an Oversight Specialist to supervise NAV calculations and the quality of service delivered by providers. You will monitor compliance, coordinate a range of accounting touchpoints, and drive improvements in processes and tooling, including AI-powered options.

Strong English and Dutch skills are required, with a proactive, independent work style. Based in the Netherlands, you will collaborate with Portfolio Management, Client Reporting, IT, Tax, Compliance, and Risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience, preferably within an Accounting (oversight) team in a financial organisation (nice to have).
• In-depth knowledge of Accounting & NAV (nice to have).
• Positive and pragmatic personality with a "can do" mentality.
• Ability to prioritize activities and to identify and initiate improvements on processes and tooling (including usage of AI).
• Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with working under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English and Dutch
• Experience with MS Excel SQL and/ or tools like Python (must have)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily calculation of NAV by the service providers and intervene if quality falls below required levels.
• Ensure information exchanged regarding NAV/Accounting data is complete, accurate and timely.
• Keep up to date with products, instruments and regulatory developments impacting Accounting services for funds.
• Monitor quality of other services via KPIs, reports and sampling and intervene when needed.
• Report on service delivery in the Accounting area by service providers in collaboration with Vendor Management.
• Cooperate with Portfolio Management, Client Reporting, IT Delivery, Tax, Management Companies, Compliance and Risk management.
• Spot opportunities to improve procedures and initiate improvements accordingly.

Job description

The oversight Specialist oversees the services delivered by the service providers and monitors that required quality levels are met (and improved) by the service providers. Furthermore he / she is responsible for coordinating and executing the accounting related touchpoint activities between the internal organization and the service providers (e.g. expense management, swing adjustments).

Position & requirements

• The ARO Specialist oversees the daily calculation of NAV by the service providers by sampling, comparing and other means to ensure that the quality of the NAV stays in line with the required levels. The ARO Specialists intervenes if and when quality is below required levels.
• The ARO Specialist ensures that information exchanged with regards to NAV/ Accounting data is complete, accurate and timely.
• The ARO Specialist keeps up to date with products, instruments and legal and regulatory developments that impact the services in the Accounting area for funds and ensures that the service provider keeps in line with these developments.
• Next to NAV calculation the ARO Specialist monitors via KPI’s, quality reports and sample testing the quality of the other services delivered by the service providers and intervenes if and when quality is below required levels.
• The ARO Specialist is responsible together with Vendor Management for reporting on the service delivery in the Accounting area by the service providers
• The ARO Specialist cooperates with multiple internal and external departments such as Portfolio Management, Portfolio Implementation, Client Reporting, IT Delivery, Tax, Management Companies, Compliance and Risk management.
• The ARO Specialist spots opportunities to improve procedures and initiates and coordinates improvements accordingly
