Job summary

A leading tech company in Amsterdam is seeking an IDC Technician for Data Center Operations. The role involves performing on-site maintenance, responding to incidents, and monitoring system environments. Ideal candidates will have a diploma in IT or related fields, basic IT hardware knowledge, and will work in a shift-based environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with fluency in English and another language.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and another language (local or Chinese).
• Basic understanding of data center operations or IT infrastructure.
• Experience in IT support or hardware maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations and maintenance in the Data Center (IDC).
• Respond to incidents and service requests as per SLA targets.
• Monitor data center environment, identify risks, and perform inspections.
• Handle emergency incidents and adhere to EOP procedures.
• Manage tasks and follow SOP workflows using ticketing systems.
• Support installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
• Assist with on-site support and site surveys when required.

Skills

Basic knowledge of IT hardware (servers, network devices, cabling)

Familiarity with ticketing systems

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Position: IDC Technician (Data Center Operations)

Shift

5/8 rotational shifts (5×8 as required)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site operations and maintenance in the Data Center (IDC) environment based on client requirements
• Respond to incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution in line with SLA targets
• Monitor data center environment and systems, proactively identify risks, and perform routine inspections
• Handle emergency incidents following established EOP procedures, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation
• Use ticketing systems to manage tasks and follow SOP workflows with high accuracy and compliance
• Support installation, racking, cabling, and maintenance of IT equipment (servers, switches, etc.)
• Assist with on-site support activities, site surveys, and basic infrastructure tasks when required

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or above in Computer Science, IT, or related fields

Experience

• Basic understanding of data center operations or IT infrastructure
• Experience in IT support, hardware maintenance, or data center environment is a plus

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of IT hardware (servers, network devices, cabling)
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and operational processes (SOP/EOP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
