Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking an OT Security Engineer in Amersfoort to design and secure the digital foundation of critical infrastructure. You will lead security architecture across networks, devices, and systems, ensuring uptime and safety in industrial environments.

You’ll design robust OT cyber security architectures, integrate security across layers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Hybrid work is available, with travel within the Netherlands as needed.

Qualifications

• MBO-4 or HBO degree in IT.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, Antivirus, Backup and virtualization.
• Experience with Networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Fluent in Dutch or English.
• Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and abroad.

Responsibilities

• Design secure OT network architectures from scratch.
• Select security solutions for project proposals balancing compliance, risk and performance.
• Implement and test security components (Windows Server, AD, WSUS, Antivirus, Backup, Industrial Network Elements, NMS, IDS).
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches and firewalls.
• Configure and maintain virtualized environments.
• Create and maintain as-built documentation.
• Support full lifecycle of security solutions from concept to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate security into every layer of the system.

The Role – Security by Design, Delivered with Precision

You’ll be part of the OT Security Team within the Operations NL Team — a diverse group of specialists with complementary skillsets and a shared mindset: protect what matters. You’ll design and implement robust OT cyber security architectures that align with real-world operations and critical infrastructure needs.

You are the technical lead for security solutions in projects. You bring together routers, firewalls, directory services, antivirus, and backup systems into a cohesive, secure, and fully documented environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an OT Security Engineer, you’ll take the lead in:

• Designing and delivering secure OT network architectures from scratch.
• Selecting security solutions for project proposals — balancing compliance, risk, and performance.
• Implementing and testing security components like Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, antivirus, backup systems, Industrial Network Elements, Network Management Solutions (NMS) and Intrusion Detection Solutions (IDS).
• Configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Configuring and maintaining virtualized environments.
• Creating and maintaining as-built documentation that ensures clarity and continuity.
• Supporting the full lifecycle of security solutions — from concept to continuous improvement.
• Collaborating across disciplines to integrate security into every layer of the system.

You Bring

• An MBO-4 or HBO degree in IT or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, Antivirus solutions, Back‑up and virtualization.
• Experience with Networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls).
• A structured, hands‑on approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication skills in either Dutch or English.
• willingness to travel within the Netherlands frequently and from to time to time abroad
• willingness to be periodically part of the 24/7 team
• A solution‑focused, flexible attitude and customer‑centric mindset.
