Job summary

AXIS Career is seeking a skilled orbital welding operator to produce stainless steel components in small series and customized parts. You will interpret technical drawings, prepare the work, set up orbital welding equipment, and adjust programs as needed.

You will check the final products against strict specifications, prepare 5-20 mm thin-walled tubes for the next assembly stage, and work in two shifts. Fluency in English or Dutch and own accommodation/transportation are required.

Job description

In this position, you are responsible for the accurate production of stainless steel components using orbital welding technology. You will work with both small series and customer-specific products, meaning your work requires a careful approach and a strong eye for detail. Because the components are used in high-tech applications, every weld needs to meet strict specifications. You will therefore be involved in preparing the work, operating and adjusting the equipment, and checking the final result.

What will you do?

• Use technical drawings to prepare your welding work.
• Set up orbital welding equipment and welding heads.
• Operate the machines and make adjustments to welding programs where necessary.
• Manufacture small production runs and customized components.
• Check completed products against the required quality standards.
• Prepare thin-walled stainless steel tubes, measuring 5-20 mm in diameter, for the next assembly stage.

For this position, we are looking for someone who combines technical understanding with a precise way of working. You enjoy following clear procedures while working on technically demanding products.

• You are able to interpret technical drawings.
• You have experience working in a technical production environment where accuracy is important.
• Experience with welding, preferably TIG, is an advantage.
• You work carefully and consistently follow work instructions and procedures.
• You are available to work in 2 shifts.
• You speak either English or Dutch well.
• You have your own accommodation and transportation.
