Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer, Specialist or Architect to support complex Oracle database services, high-availability, recovery and performance technologies.

You will monitor databases, manage backups, configure RAC and Data Guard, and tune SQL for optimal performance.

This role offers opportunities to lead migrations and platform transformations within our global technology services team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle database administration and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard and RMAN.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure database services.
• Ability to manage backups, recoveries and migrations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Oracle databases, tablespaces, jobs, backups and performance.
• Resolve incidents related to availability, connectivity, capacity and performance.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade Oracle database platforms.
• Manage backups and recovery using approved tools and procedures.
• Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard and other resilience technologies.
• Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
• Administer database access, auditing and security controls.
• Support migrations, upgrades and platform transformations.
• Automate health checks, reporting and recurring administration.
• Maintain database documentation, recovery procedures and configuration records.
• Lead complex performance and recovery investigations at senior levels.
• Define Oracle database strategy, architecture and lifecycle plans at L5.
