Job summary

Highlite International BV in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, is looking for a part-time Operational Purchaser (24 hours) to join the Purchasing team. You will manage day-to-day procurement, place and track orders in the ERP system, and actively monitor deliveries to ensure on-time availability and optimal stock levels.

You will communicate with domestic and international suppliers, negotiate terms, process invoices, and work with Sales, Export and Logistics to resolve bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• Completed MBO in logistics, business or administration with relevant experience.
• Proactive, independent and responsible in work.
• Several years in procurement or supply chain within wholesale.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational procurement to ensure on-time availability and correct quantities.
• Place and track purchase orders in ERP; monitor deliveries with suppliers.
• Coordinate with Sales, Export and Logistics to resolve bottlenecks.
• Verify order confirmations and purchase invoices; keep data accurate.
• Identify process improvements to optimise stock and availability.

Vacature Operational purchaser (24 hours)

Highlite International BV in Kerkrade is a manufacturer and distributor of lighting and sound equipment and all related products for the entertainment industry, architectural lighting, and commercial installations. As an internationally operating distributor of our own brands DAP, DMT, Infinity, Showtec, Showgear, Artecta and Wentex, we manage daily sales to our customers all over the world. Sales are conducted through various channels, including exclusive distributors, dealers, installation companies, and retailers. Quality products, combined with timely delivery and customer-focused service, ensures that Highlite International BV remains a reliable partner and preferred choice for international clients in the entertainment industry.

To strengthen our Purchase team, we are looking for a part-time Operational Purchaser.

As Operational Purchaser, you will be responsible for the entire operational procurement process within our organisation. You will ensure that our products are available on time, in the correct quantities and on the best terms. You will place and manage purchase orders in our ERP system and actively monitor the progress of deliveries. You will maintain contact with suppliers (both domestic and international) and, where necessary, negotiate delivery times, prices and terms. In the event of deviations or bottlenecks, you will take the initiative to act and work with internal departments such as Sales, Export and Logistics to find a solution.

Furthermore, you will check and process order confirmations and purchase invoices, and ensure that product and supplier data in our systems is accurate and up to date. You will identify opportunities for improvement in the procurement process and contribute to optimising stock levels and availability.

You will also be involved in:

• Stock monitoring and reorder proposals,
• Handling complaints, warranty claims and returns,
• Coordinating incoming goods flows and associated documentation.

You will act as a key link to suppliers and play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of our supply chain.

Who we are looking for:

• You have completed a vocational education programme (MBO) in logistics, business or administration, with the corresponding level of work and thinking.
• You are proactive, independent and take responsibility for your work.
• You have several years of experience in a procurement or supply chain position within a wholesale organisation.
• You have strong communication skills and interact easily with both internal and external parties.
• You work accurately and in a structured manner, with an eye for detail, whilst also being able to adapt quickly and set priorities.
• Y ou have a good command of Dutch and English. German and Mandarin are an advantage.
• You are analytical and contribute ideas on how to improve processes and working methods.
• You are proficient in the MS Office suite. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Slim4 is an advantage.
