Job summary

Swift is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to shape and operate its OpenShift platform, focusing on reliability, observability, automation and operational excellence. You will collaborate with engineers across Europe and the US to define reliability standards and enable teams to adopt cloud‑native tech at scale.

This hybrid role near Leiden, Netherlands, offers on‑call rotation and opportunities to influence platform services, security and performance while improving customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with enterprise OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience defining and operating observability solutions.
• Experience managing SLIs, SLOs and error budgets.

Responsibilities

• Shape and operate Swift's OpenShift platform with high availability and resilience.
• Lead design of observability across metrics, logs and traces.
• Develop and maintain monitoring solutions using ELK.
• Onboard workloads and promote SRE best practices.
• Drive incident management, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident learning.
