Job summary

Itproposal is urgently seeking Onsite Laptop Migration Technicians to support a large-scale workplace technology project across various locations in the Netherlands. You will perform migrations, install and configure laptops and related IT equipment, and assist users during onboarding.

Travel between project sites is required; a valid Category B driving licence and own reliable transportation are mandatory. Fluency in Dutch and English, plus strong communication skills, are essential.

About the Role

We are urgently looking for Onsite Laptop Migration Technicians to support a large-scale workplace technology project across various locations in the Netherlands.

The successful candidates will be dedicated to the project for its duration and will provide hands-on technical support to end users during the migration and deployment of laptops and workplace devices.

Because the role involves travelling between different project sites, a valid driving licence and own reliable transportation are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laptop and workplace device migrations at various client locations.
• Install, configure and deploy laptops and related IT equipment.
• Support users during the migration and onboarding process.
• Transfer or configure user data, applications and settings as required.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues during migration activities.
• Assist users with logging in, accessing applications and configuring their workplace environment.
• Perform device checks before and after migration.
• Follow established migration procedures, checklists and technical instructions.
• Document completed migrations and report any technical issues or exceptions.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support team.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when working onsite.
• Travel between different project locations across the Netherlands as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in onsite IT support, desktop support, laptop deployment or workplace migrations.
• Hands-on experience with laptop/device migrations in a professional environment.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and common Microsoft workplace technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and user-related IT issues.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint is an advantage.
• Experience supporting users during large-scale device rollouts or migrations is preferred.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Own reliable transportation/car is mandatory.
• Willingness and ability to travel to different client/project sites throughout the Netherlands.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent/professional Dutch and English communication skills.
• Able to work independently while following project procedures and instructions.
• Customer-oriented and professional attitude.
