Centre People Appointments seeks an Oil Trader for its Amsterdam office to develop and manage bunker oil and next-generation fuel trading activities. You will build relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiate terms, and identify new business opportunities across international markets.
The role focuses on energy trading, with potential to establish supply chains for alternative fuels; English fluency is required and Japanese is not.
A well-established Japanese trading house is currently looking for an Oil Trader to join its Amsterdam office.
This position will focus on developing and managing international trading activities within the energy sector. The company is open to candidates with experience in bunker oil trading and/or developing supply structures for next-generation fuels.
You will be responsible for developing relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiating commercial terms, monitoring market trends and identifying new business opportunities. Depending on your experience, you may also play a key role in establishing new supply chains for alternative and next-generation fuels.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in oil, bunker fuel, energy or international commodity trading, with strong commercial and relationship-building skills. Japanese language skills are not required.
Location: Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Working Style: hybrid, 3 days per week in the office
Salary: €3,000-€5,000 per month depending on experience
Job Type: full-time, initial 12-month contract with potential for extension
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00
