Job summary

Siemens Gamesa seeks an Offshore Service Technician to maintain and troubleshoot wind turbines from Eemshaven, joining a multi-cultural team on a 14 days on/off rotation. You will perform scheduled maintenance, assist in troubleshooting, and ensure adherence to Siemens Gamesa standards, contributing to the energy transition.

The role requires an MBO-2 Electrical background, sea-going experience, and proficiency in English, with EU residency.

Qualifications

• MBO-2 (EQF-2) Electrical qualification.
• Experience at sea and comfortable with a rotation.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• English proficiency required; EU resident.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and predefined repairs on wind turbines.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, Quality and Service standards.
• Support TMSE, crane and lift inspections and maintenance.
• Provide reporting using work instructions, isolation procedures and risk assessments.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dedicated team as an Offshore Service Technician, where your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting wind turbines. Imagine working in a dynamic environment with a 14 days on/off rotation, embarking from the port of Eemshaven to the SOV-operated wind farm. You will be part of a multi-cultural team, many of whom have been with the Gemini wind farm since its inception, fostering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Your journey will include performing scheduled maintenance, assisting in troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards, all while contributing to the energy transition.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will perform scheduled maintenance and pre-defined repair works on our wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards related to EHS, Quality, and Service delivery.
• Support the completion of contractual extra scopes, including TMSE, crane, and lift inspection and maintenance.
• Provide accurate reporting and utilize work instructions, isolation procedures, risk assessments, and electronic workflow systems.

What You Bring

• You have at least an MBO-2 (EQF-2) Electrical education or higher.
• You possess experience working at sea and are comfortable with a rotation schedule.
• Proven experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems is essential.
• Experience with network or telecommunication systems is considered an advantage.
• You are flexible, analytical, quality-oriented, and a team player, with proficiency in English both in writing and verbally.
• You reside in the EU.
