Job summary

Resolve Marine Group is seeking a Salvage Engineer to oversee operating shipboard equipment, install and maintain salvage systems, and support emergency response projects. The role requires extensive offshore experience and travel to sites, with emphasis on safety, planning, and collaboration with vessel crews.

Responsibilities include reading salvage plans, maintaining equipment, coordinating spares and tools, and reporting status to project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years offshore vessel experience.
• Shipboard engineer certificate/coc required.
• 7+ years as shipboard engineer or power plant engineer.
• Experience with salvage operations and emergency response.
• Ability to read salvage plans and manuals.
• Ability to work safely in a team and follow directions.
• Valid driver's license and passport; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret salvage plans and technical manuals.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and operate shipboard salvage equipment.
• Plan and execute routine inspections to minimize downtime.
• Requisition spares, tools, fuel, lubes, and supplies as needed.
• Follow salvage master instructions and coordinate with onboard teams.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide practical solutions.
• Communicate equipment status, scope, and schedule to management.
