Job summary

Van Oord’s Offshore Energy unit seeks an experienced Communication Advisor to bridge the business, stakeholders and sustainability, shaping plans and advising internal and external audiences while contributing to execution.

You will translate societal developments into clear guidance, work across topics and channels, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines. Based in Gorinchem/Rotterdam, some travel may be required to relevant exhibitions and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications or related field.
• Extensive experience as a communications advisor in corporate, B2B and/or B2G contexts.
• Experience in a technical, project-driven or international sector is a plus.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational and connecting skills to bring people and content together.
• Motivation to collaborate and build support for communications initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop communication and stakeholder engagement plans aligned with Offshore Energy priorities.
• Translate strategic themes into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences.
• Manage communication projects from start to finish, including exhibitions and events.
• Create content, copy and visuals that convey the intended message.
• Coordinate activities and align project timelines with the communication calendar.
