Job summary

Steneg is seeking an NPI Engineer to lead the industrialization of new products, turning customer designs into cost-effective, high-quality production processes. You will own the NPI process, collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain, and work with external partners to deliver first-time-right production readiness.

Responsibilities include translating specs into scalable concepts, defining end-to-end production flows, and driving robust process validation and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Demonstrable experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong knowledge of assembly processes, manufacturing technologies, tooling, and production equipment.
• Experience with FMEA, SPC, 8D, and structured quality improvement tools.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer specifications and engineering designs into manufacturable, scalable production concepts.
• Define the complete product and manufacturing process flow from prototype through serial production.
• Ensure manufacturability while balancing quality, cost, and operational efficiency.
• Design serial production processes, tooling strategies, ERP configurations, quality controls, and work instructions.
• Define qualification methodologies and production readiness plans.
• Lead process validation activities using Design FMEA, Process FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
• Coordinate technical activities across the NPI lifecycle with cross-functional teams and international suppliers.
