Job summary

Levy Professionals in the Netherlands seeks a hands-on Non-Financial Risk Control Specialist to join a strategic, organisation-wide programme. You will optimise risk and control frameworks, close gaps, and work across the 1st Line, Policy Owners and BaU teams to strengthen controls.

This contracting role focuses on practical improvements, guidance, and training materials, ensuring robust standards and alignment across risk and control lifecycles within a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of risk and control processes.
• Experience building and optimising Non-Financial Risk & Control Frameworks.
• Strong understanding of control design and effectiveness.
• Experience with control testing and remediation of gaps.
• Knowledge of GRC workflows and risk transformation.
• Ability to collaborate with 1st Line, Risk and Policy Owners.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on existing analysis of control gaps and preliminary guidance.
• Perform detailed review and clean-up of existing controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve control design and effectiveness.
• Help redesign and strengthen Risk & Control Frameworks.
• Work with 1st Line Control Owners to implement controls.
• Collaborate with Policy/Risk Type Owners, BaU risk teams and other workstreams.
• Translate gaps into practical improvements to controls, standards and procedures.
• Contribute to development of training and stakeholder communication.
• Support alignment between stakeholders in the risk and control lifecycle.
• Work within GRC workflows to support control implementation and optimisation.
