Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroimaging, Neurodiversity and Brain Evolution. You will work with large neuroimaging datasets, develop computational approaches, and contribute to cross-species comparisons across human and non-human brain organization.

Join the Connectome Lab within CNCR to advance open science, collaborate with researchers, and publish findings at international meetings. Dutch language skills are valued for teaching activities.

Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience, neuroimaging, computational neuroscience, biomedical engineering, physics, computer science, AI, mathematics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience with neuroimaging analysis.
• Experience with structural MRI, diffusion MRI, resting-state fMRI.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, Bash; ability to develop reproducible pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale structural, diffusion, and resting-state MRI datasets.
• Develop pipelines for cortical reconstruction, tractography and functional connectivity.
• Investigate brain variation and neurodiversity across individuals and species.
• Apply LLM and ML to mine large datasets.
• Collaborate across neuroscience, AI, and modelling teams.
• Supervise MSc and PhD students and contribute to publications.
