Job summary

Empiric is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement and optimise enterprise LAN environments and to produce both high-level and detailed network designs. You will work across routing, switching, firewalling and shared network services, translating customer requirements into scalable solutions.

The role also involves maintaining continuity, performance and availability of critical networks, advising on architecture improvements and developing standards for network services.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, LAN and SDN.
• Experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and MPLS VPN.
• Experience with Cisco and/or Extreme Networks in enterprise networks.
• Good understanding of network architecture in large environments.
• Experience with Python, Ansible and Git for automation.

Rate: €80-€100 per hour freelance OR up to €110,000 on payroll

I'm recruiting for an experienced Network Engineer to work across complex, business-critical enterprise environments.

The role will combine hands-on engineering, network design and customer-facing consultancy across large-scale infrastructure projects.
