Job summary

HE Space, based in Noordwijk, Netherlands, seeks a seasoned IT security and systems engineer to support Galileo operations. You will patch hardware elements, monitor systems, manage users, and perform HW replacements in a demanding international environment.

Fluency in English is mandatory; a second European language is a plus. The role offers an exciting, diverse team and opportunities to contribute to critical space infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related.
• At least five years of experience in Linux based security systems development.
• Operational experience as network/security operations engineer.
• Configuration of network equipment.
• Maintenance of HW elements (patching, firmware upgrade, etc.).
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.

As a member of a team providing services to EUSPA for Galileo global satellite navigation system, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Patching of HW elements;
• System monitoring;
• User management;
• Replacement of HW elements;
• CSM operational related activities

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related;
• At least five years of experience in all the following areas: Linux based security systems development;
• Operational experience as network/security operations engineer;
• Configuration of network equipment
• Maintenance of HW elements (patching, firmware upgrade, etc.);
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
