Job summary

Vivid Resourcing is recruiting for a Utrecht-based SaaS company to design, build, and maintain backend services using C# / .NET. You’ll work in an agile product team shaping scalable APIs and cloud-enabled features for hospitality businesses.

You’ll collaborate with product and design teams, own quality through testing, and help improve performance and security in a hybrid office/remote setting in Utrecht.

Qualifications

• Solid experience building applications with C# and .NET (.NET 6/7/8).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
• RESTful APIs, microservices or cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Product-minded engineer who understands feature impact.
• Strong communication with product and design teams.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're working with a Utrecht-based SaaS company building the platform that hotels, restaurants and hospitality groups use to run their day-to-day operations - from front-desk and reservations to guest communication and back-office reporting. Their product is used by hospitality businesses across Europe to save time, reduce manual work, and deliver a better guest experience. They're a growing, product-led team that cares as much about clean code as we do about the people who use what we build.

As a .NET Software Engineer, you'll join the product engineering team to design, build, and maintain the core services behind the platform. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features that hospitality staff rely on every single day - often in fast-paced, guest-facing environments where reliability really matters.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build backend services and APIs using C# / .NET

Your Profile

• Solid experience building applications with C# and .NET (.NET 6/7/8, ASP.NET Core)
• Comfortable working with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, and ideally some exposure to microservices or cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
• A pragmatic, product-minded engineer who enjoys understanding why a feature matters, not just how to build it
• Good communication skills — you'll work directly with product and design, not just other engineers
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not required
