Job summary

Hoppinger is seeking an experienced .NET developer who treats software as a craft and stays ahead with new technology. You will write code, build features and solve problems in our client platforms, with AI playing a growing but not primary role.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into working software, ensure quality, and innovate the technical approach. You stand in the code, review others, and help shape scalable, maintainable solutions.

We are looking for an experienced .NET developer who treats building and shipping robust software as a craft, and who likes to be at the front when it comes to new technology. Someone with a solid foundation in C#/.NET, who puts quality and maintainability first, and who does not wait for our move toward an AI-first way of working but helps shape it.The focus of this role is development. You write code, build features and solve problems within the platforms we develop for our clients. On top of that, you actively think along about how we make our work and our solutions better with new technology. AI plays a growing role in that, and we are looking for someone who picks up that development with enthusiasm.

Your role

You work in a multidisciplinary team on platforms for our clients. You translate functional requirements into working software, safeguard the quality of what you deliver, and think along about the technical approach. You stand with both feet in the code, and you enjoy innovating where it makes the solution better.

Your days include things like:

• Designing, building and testing features in C#/.NET
• Writing maintainable, well-tested code and thinking along about the architecture of our platforms
• Taking part in code reviews and sharing knowledge with your teammates
• Keeping software running in production: stability, performance and security
• Exploring and applying new technology, including AI, from smarter development tooling to AI functionality in our solutions
• Working together with other engineers, experience architects and data analysts

Who you are

You are an experienced software engineer with a strong .NET background. You have demonstrably built and shipped software, and you care about quality. You are curious about new technology and you do not wait until others have tried it out. You recognize yourself in this:

• Extensive experience in software development, with C#/.NET as a constant in your toolkit. This is a hard requirement
• Knowledge of software architecture: API design, microservices, event-driven architecture and containerization
• An eye for quality: testability, maintainability and thinking along about technical choices
• An innovation-driven mindset: you follow new developments and apply them where they add value
• Curiosity about AI and the willingness to make it a growing part of your work. Experience is a plus, not a requirement
• The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to share your knowledge
