Job summary

Damen Naval, the naval division of Damen Shipyards Group, seeks a Data Engineer to design and maintain the data infrastructure that connects, organizes, and unlocks data across the organization to support vessel production and engineering processes.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data reliability and integration into business workflows, develop ETL pipelines (SQL Server), data models, and provide internal support while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CS/IT/Data Science or related field.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and database design.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes and optimization.
• Experience with SSIS/SSAS and Power BI report server stack on-prem.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data infrastructure to connect, organize, and unlock data across the organization.
• Develop and deploy ETL processes and data models to support vessel production and operations.
• Troubleshoot data issues and provide internal technical support.
• Document ETL processes, data models, and configurations for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed data solutions into business workflows.
• Improve performance of reports and automate data processing workflows.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing.
