Damen Naval is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain the data infrastructure that connects, organizes, and unlocks data across the organization. You will support vessels production and enable data-driven decisions across departments.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data reliability, accessibility, and integration into business workflows, with hybrid work options and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IT/Data Science or related field.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, modeling, and DB design.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL optimization.
• Experience with SSIS/SSAS and on-prem Power BI Report Server.
• Experience in maritime, defense, or engineering is a plus.
• Excellent English; Dutch is advantageous and references requested.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data infrastructure across the organization.
• Develop and deploy ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Build and optimize data models and queries for reporting.
• Troubleshoot data issues and provide internal support.
• Document ETL processes and data models for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed data solutions.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing.
