Job summary

TWD in Rotterdam is seeking a Naval Architect / Project Engineer to deliver jack-up and naval projects from concept to completion. You will bring structure, clarity and direction to complex engineering challenges while coordinating stakeholders and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.

You will join a small, specialized team with global project exposure, contributing technically and in project leadership.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in shipbuilding or in the offshore industry.
• Experience with ship structural design and verification (FEA) and floating stability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology or Offshore Technology is strongly preferred. Candidates with a background in Structural or Mechanical Engineering and demonstrable maritime experience are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their challenges and translating them into practical engineering solutions
• Set up and drive the project plan, ensuring structure, momentum, and clear milestones to fulfill the agreed timelines
• Stay ahead of the curve by spotting technical risks early and coordinating mitigation actions
• Align and coordinate engineers and designers so decisions are clear and work stays consistent
• Contribute actively to the concept phase by gathering and structuring multidisciplinary input
• Translate concepts and sketches into sound engineering calculations, reports, assessments and design solutions
• Ensure consistent quality by reviewing engineering deliverables against TWD standards and client expectations
• Act as the point of contact for technical questions after delivery, ensuring clear answers and consistent quality
