Job summary

TWD is seeking a Naval Architect / Project Engineer to deliver jack-up and naval projects from concept to completion in a small, expert team based in Rotterdam. You will bring structure to complex challenges, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables across offshore wind and marine civil construction projects.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in shipbuilding or the offshore industry.
• Experience with ship structural design and verification (FEA) and floating stability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A master's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology or Offshore Technology is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their challenges and translating them into practical engineering solutions.
• Set up and drive the project plan, ensuring structure, momentum, and clear milestones to fulfill the agreed timelines.
• Stay ahead of the curve by spotting technical risks early and coordinating mitigation actions.
• Align and coordinate engineers and designers so decisions are clear and work stays consistent.
• Contribute actively to the concept phase by gathering and structuring multidisciplinary input.
• Translate concepts and sketches into sound engineering calculations, reports, assessments and design solutions.
• Ensure consistent quality by reviewing engineering deliverables against TWD standards and client expectations.
• Act as the point of contact for technical questions after delivery, ensuring clear answers and consistent quality.
