Job summary

GenScript is seeking an mRNA Production Technician for our Delft facility in South Holland. You will contribute to the manufacturing, purification, quality control, and documentation of mRNA products in a hands-on lab environment.

The role requires a higher education degree in biotechnology or life sciences, experience with mRNA/oligonucleotide chemistry, and fluency in English. Onsite, 40 hours/week, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's level or higher in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or related field.
Experience with mRNA or oligonucleotide chemistry.
Experience with PCR, HPLC, and enzymatic reactions.
Experience with isolation/characterization techniques (column chromatography, HPLC, MS).
Ability to work in a small cross-disciplinary team.
Desirable: experience in fast-paced environment and English proficiency.
Eligible to work in the Netherlands for at least three years.

Responsibilities

Process DNA via PCR, digestion, and purification for in‑vitro transcription.
Perform enzymatic reactions to produce and process mRNA.
Purify mRNA using HPLC, spin columns and related technologies.
Run quality checks on in‑process and final products (gel/capillary electrophoresis).
Follow SOPs to ensure compliant, validated processes.
Maintain documentation for production processes and materials.
Keep inventory records in the system.
Order materials for production use.
Assist multistep synthesis and reagent development.
Conduct routine lab maintenance procedures.
Support production manager with additional tasks.
