Job summary

Neways Electronics International NV is seeking an Assembly Technician to build electrical and mechanical modules and cabinets, following exact work instructions in a high-tech environment. You will work both in the cleanroom and production areas, ensuring quality, safety and timely deliveries.

You will read drawings, assemble components with hand tools, and train new colleagues. A VMBO/MBO technical background and good English are required; shifts are mornings and afternoons with Friday evening

Qualifications

• VMBO/MBO technical background in electrical and/or mechanical fields.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring lists and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with assembly work using tools such as screwdrivers, crimping tools, soldering equipment, multimeters and wrenches.
• Good command of the English language to communicate effectively in a diverse, international team.
• Strong focus on safety and familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety, environmental regulations, ESD rules, 6S and company procedures.
• Accuracy, responsibility and a hands‑on mindset.
• Willingness to work in a 2‑shift system and in a cleanroom.
• Good communication skills and the ability to support or train new colleagues.
• A proactive attitude: you raise questions, signal quality issues and contribute to improvements.

Responsibilities

• Delivering products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Working according to safety regulations, IPC standards and company rules.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and structured workplace.
• Preparation: collect orders, materials and tools, inspect components for damage and block them when necessary; read wiring lists, instructions, and electrical diagrams, assemble components into complete products according to instructions, place finished products in the buffer.
• Inspection: check order material completeness, assess parts delivered, verify wiring and cabinet assembly.
• Coaching: train and support new colleagues and assess progress with Team Leader.
• Administration: handle receipt/hand over forms, order materials, register returns, report products as finished, update change/evaluation forms, register parts and remarks in systems.
• Authorizations: block damaged parts, order materials when shortages occur, propose improvements via change forms.
