Job summary

KPN is transforming into a fully data-driven telecommunications provider. The AI4CM team develops scalable, robust, and ethical data- and AI-driven solutions for operational and commercial applications, including call-center routing, personalized marketing, call-volume forecasting, and knowledge access through RAG.

The role involves building and improving AI capabilities, coaching colleagues, and delivering production-ready ML solutions in a DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in data science and engineering.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data science from problem definition through solution implementation.
• Experience developing and managing machine learning models.
• Demonstrable experience with complex data science projects beyond standard solutions.
• Good knowledge of Python, Git, Docker, and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Nice to have: knowledge of Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end AI solutions from idea to production.
• Identify new opportunities and insights for the business.
• Build and validate proof-of-concepts.
• Develop new AI capabilities for business and analytics teams.
• Improve existing models and solutions.
• Share knowledge actively within and outside the team.
• Coach and support colleagues in data science, engineering, and tooling.
• Work according to DevOps principles and take ownership of solutions.
