Job summary

NTT DATA in the Netherlands is seeking a middleware engineer, specialist or architect who builds, operates and evolves enterprise middleware platforms that connect applications, services and data.

You will ensure middleware environments remain secure, available and capable of supporting business-critical services, participate in deployments, upgrades and performance tuning, and at senior levels lead major migrations and complex investigations.

Qualifications

• Middleware engineering, enterprise integration, security
• Experience with enterprise middleware platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor middleware services, queues, application servers and integration components.
• Resolve incidents relating to performance, connectivity, transactions and service availability.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade middleware platforms.
• Support deployment and configuration activities across development, test and production environments.
• Troubleshoot application-to-middleware, database and network integration issues.
• Maintain certificates, connections, service accounts and security configurations.
• Support clustering, load balancing, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Automate recurring platform administration and deployment activities.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity analysis.
• Maintain operating procedures, platform documentation and knowledge articles.
• At senior levels, lead major upgrades, migrations and complex problem investigations.
• At L5, develop middleware architecture principles, patterns and platform roadmaps.

Your day at NTT DATA

The middleware engineer, specialist or architect operates and develops enterprise middleware platforms that connect applications, services and data. The role ensures that middleware environments remain secure, available and capable of supporting business-critical application services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor middleware services, queues, application servers and integration components.
