Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer (32–40 hours)
At IP Parking, you’ll test mission-critical software used daily by thousands of users in Europe, North America, and Australia. From license plate recognition and access control to payments, subscriptions, and reports: your work determines whether new features are rolled out safely, reliably, and with the highest quality. You’re more than just a tester. You’re a key link in the development process and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality approach. You’ll also have the freedom to explore and apply new techniques, testing methodologies, and AI solutions to make our testing processes smarter, more efficient, and more effective.
Working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- You will test complete parking processes: access, payment, subscriptions, visitors, capacity, and reporting
- You’ll collaborate daily with Software Development, Product Management, and Service
- You’ll contribute ideas on quality improvement throughout the entire development process
- You will provide well-reasoned release recommendations for new releases
- You’ll work with tools such as Jira, SQL Server, SoapUI, Burp Suite, and JMeter
- You’ll have the freedom to evaluate new tools and technologies when they contribute to quality, efficiency, or customer value
Breakdown of Your Responsibilities
- 40% Analyze requirements, risks, and dependencies and translate them into test scenarios, test cases, and test data
- 35% Performing functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing and recording the results in Jira
- 10% Testing APIs, databases, and external integrations, and verifying data using SQL
- 10% Performing security and performance tests and contributing to test automation
- 5% Researching and applying innovative QA techniques, including AI-supported test analysis, test design, test data generation, and process optimization
We are looking for:
- A QA professional who looks beyond simply running tests
- HBO-level work and thinking skills
- At least 2 years of experience testing business software, integrations, and workflows
- Experience in developing test scenarios, test cases, and reproducible findings
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data validation
- Strong analytical skills and a curiosity about new technologies
- You enjoy continuously improving processes
- You want to discover how AI and automation can contribute to higher software quality
- Proficiency in Dutch and sufficient English for technical documentation
- ISTQB or TMAP certification, or a willingness to obtain it
