Job summary

Amber Electric is hiring a mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer. You will help enable the uptake of renewable energy by optimizing batteries and devices in customers’ homes, timing usage to high-renewable periods and exporting power when prices are favorable.

Work with a global team across Europe, own features from code to product outcomes, collaborate with design, product and operations, and enjoy flexible remote work, stock options and an annual learning budget.

Qualifications

• Positive mindset, collaborative and proactive attitude.
• 3–5 years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience with the tech stack is a strong plus (TS/JS, backend).
• Typescript experience preferred; other modern languages acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high quality program code across the stack.
• Collaborate within the product team and own the end-to-end impact of your work.
• Share knowledge through RFCs and active discussions in Amber org.
• Analyze system requirements and discuss iterations and tradeoffs.
• Test, debug, and fix issues across the stack according to specs.
• Support live apps with partners to ensure a great user experience.
• Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to deliver impactful solutions.
