Job summary

NTS Group in Drachten, Netherlands, is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join a small, skilled team on a shop floor. You will set up, program, and operate CNC lathes with tight tolerances on exotic materials, coordinating closely with engineering and preparation.

You will work in two shifts and have opportunities to progress toward programming or machining specialist roles, depending on performance and interest.

Qualifications

• MBO level 3/4 in Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience setting up, operating and programming CNC lathes.
• Experience with CAM programming, preferably TopSolid, and Fanuc/Siemens controls.
• Good command of English in speech and writing.
• Willingness to work 2 shifts: 6:00–14:30 and 14:15–23:00 (Fri until 21:45).

Responsibilities

• Independently setting up, operating, and optimising CNC lathes.
• Programming independently in TopSolid or at the control.
• Preparing fixtures and checking tools, products and materials per drawings.
• Turning compact one-offs and small series with micron-level precision.
• Monitoring the quality of your own work according to tight tolerances.
