Job summary

TNO is building a pilot line for InP photonic wafer manufacturing at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. As a Metrology Equipment Engineer, you will ensure metrology systems deliver stable, accurate data across the production flow and support process development as manufacturing scales up to 6-inch wafers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on equipment engineer with strong analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, reliable metrology equipment within cleanroom manufacturing.
• Define and execute improvements for equipment performance and measurement reliability.
• Support root cause investigations and defect analysis for tool performance.
• Calibrate, maintain, and configure metrology tools for accurate results.
• Assist installation, qualification, and introduction of new metrology equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues affecting measurement performance or availability.
• Collaborate with process integration, R&D, ICT, and operations to support production needs.
• Coordinate with suppliers for installation and maintenance.
• Provide documentation and reporting on equipment performance and maintenance.
