Job summary

Vivolta, a fast-growing MedTech company, seeks an experienced Senior Hardware / Electrical Design Engineer to translate customer and system requirements into robust electrical designs for industrial equipment and automation systems. You will own concepts through detailed engineering, manufacturing support, and commissioning, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, QA, and external partners.

The role is based at the HQ in Waalre with potential on-site support at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HBO level in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in hardware/electrical design or industrial automation.
• Experience with electrical schematics and control panels.
• Familiarity with machine safety standards and IEC/CE/UL.
• Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 is preferred.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems and machine installations.
• Create wiring diagrams, BOMs, and panel layouts.
• Translate requirements into robust hardware designs.
• Select components, sensors, drives, and PLC hardware.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, QA, and manufacturing teams.
• Review and optimize existing designs.
• Support FAT/SAT, troubleshooting, and change control.
• Contribute to standardization and process improvements.
• Document engineering work and maintain traceability.
