Job summary

Jobtailor in Amsterdam, Netherlands is seeking a Backend Developer to join the team. You will design and implement scalable backend services using Golang, collaborate to define architecture, and contribute to building new applications.

You should be comfortable with AWS, Postgres, and modern observability tools, work in an Agile environment, and communicate fluently in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with professional programming and development of relevant projects.
• 2-3 years of experience in Golang development, or switch from another backend language with interest in Golang.
• Experience with Python is a huge plus.
• Familiarity with Postgres, AWS, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
• Aware of current CI/CD trends and able to work with them.
• Experience with Agile project teams (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent Dutch and English communication skills.
• Creative, curious, flexible and open-minded.

• You will spend most of your time designing and coding technical solutions.
• You will also build brand new applications and participate in defining the project structure.

Requirements

• Solid experience with professional programming and development of relevant projects.
• 2-3 years of experience in Golang development, or (very) experienced in another backend language (such as C#, Java, or Python) with a genuine interest in making the switch to Golang.
• Experience with Python is a huge plus.
• Familiarity with Postgres, AWS, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki is a plus.
• Aware of current CI/CD trends and able to work with them.
• Experience with working in agile project teams (Scrum, Kanban).
