Job summary

1UP Training (Netherlands) in Utrecht is seeking a Medior FEC Testing Expert to strengthen sanctions testing capabilities. You will execute model tests, design tests, and guide colleagues, ensuring test results are reliable and auditable.

The role operates in a hybrid setup in Utrecht, requires English at C1 level, and requires residence in the Netherlands. You will work with Model Owners, Compliance, Audit and technical teams to improve testing, governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in model testing, validation, monitoring or analytics within FEC, sanctions, financial services or another regulated environment.
• Experience designing tests, assessing results and producing or reviewing clear, auditable test documentation and management reporting.
• The ability to understand complex model logic, data flows and system behaviour, and explain technical findings in terms of risk and business impact.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to identify improvements to models, methodology and processes.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and confidence engaging with Model Owners, Compliance, Audit and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute model tests, analyse results and document conclusions in clear test reports.
• Design tests for new models, service-consumer onboardings and new model functions.
• Review test plans and reports, ensuring conclusions are evidence-based and suitable for decision-making.
• Maintain and advance a coherent, risk-based testing methodology, including test designs, evaluation criteria and documentation standards.
• Build detailed knowledge of screening models and use test outcomes and stakeholder input to identify gaps and propose improvements.
• Support model tuning, change requests, monitoring and remediation.
• Guide colleagues and help strengthen their testing approach, model knowledge, documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Represent the testing perspective in discussions with Model Owners, Compliance, technical teams and Audit.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, monitoring and reporting, and translate findings into practical remediation.
