Job summary

Xomnia in Amsterdam is seeking a Medior Data Engineer to design ingestion pipelines, build layered data models, and ensure data quality for clients like KLM, Enexis and Rabobank. You will work across cloud platforms and modern data warehouses to keep data trustworthy and accessible.

The role offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and hands-on time to explore new tools. Expect collaboration with data analytics engineers and scientists, and a mix of office and home-working with occasional client

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in data engineering or pipeline-focused roles.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong SQL and Python skills with distributed data processing experience.
Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
Experience with Databricks or Snowflake and modern data platforms.
Solid understanding of data modeling, validation, and testing.

Responsibilities

Designing and maintaining robust data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
Engineering ingestion from diverse sources into cloud storage and warehouses.
Building and evolving layered data models reusable for analytics and AI use cases.
Provisioning and managing cloud data infrastructure on Azure and/or AWS.
Operating and optimizing platforms like Databricks and Snowflake for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
