Job summary

Sioux Group in Eindhoven, NL, seeks a Department Manager Prototyping & Support to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians, translating customer requirements into feasible prototypes and plans. You will balance hands-on project execution with people leadership, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a comparable technical field.
• Extensive relevant experience in a high-tech prototyping, assembly, integration or project environment.
• Experience in leading, coaching and developing technical professionals.
• Knowledge of project management, work preparation, planning and cost calculation.
• Technical knowledge of the assembly and testing of mechatronic systems.
• Experience in managing project scope, planning, costs, quality and risks.
• Experience with ERP systems and preferably with BOM, engineering or PLM data.
• A proactive, pragmatic and results-oriented way of working.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to bring together different perspectives and interests.
• Good command of both Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop employees within Prototyping & Support.
• Translate Sioux's strategy and project requirements into objectives, capacity and competencies for the team.
• Recruitment, onboarding, employee development, performance and sustainable employability.
• Plan and assign employees based on project needs, experience, development and personal ambitions.
• Prepare prototype build projects, including feasibility analyses, cost calculations, quotation input, capacity and planning.
• Manage assembly, integration and testing activities.
• Deliver projects within the agreed scope, schedule, costs, specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain contact with customers and internal stakeholders regarding progress, risks, changes and delivery.
• Monitor hours, costs, and progress in the ERP system and ensuring projects are properly completed and handed over.
• Continuously improving work preparation, assembly, testing, collaboration and operational processes.
