As Department Manager Prototyping & Support, you combine leadership with the delivery of technical projects. You build a professional and engaged team and ensure that complex prototype build projects are prepared, executed and delivered in a structured and predictable manner.
In this versatile role, you are responsible for the Prototyping & Support team within Sioux. You lead technical professionals who assemble, integrate and test complex mechatronic systems. You create a safe and motivating working environment, develop the capabilities of your team and align capacity and priorities with the needs of our projects and customers.
At the same time, you also lead prototype build projects yourself. You translate customer requirements into a realistic approach, cost estimate and planning, while monitoring quality, costs and lead times throughout execution. In doing so, you act as the connecting link between employees, engineering, project management, Business Units and the customer.
You easily switch between the long-term development of your team and the day-to-day reality of project execution. You bring structure, make clear decisions and intervene in a timely manner when planning, quality or feasibility come under pressure.
What excites you as a Department Manager - Prototyping & Support?
From our high-tech environment in Eindhoven, you will focus on:
- Leading, coaching and developing the employees within Prototyping & Support.
- Translating Sioux's strategy and project requirements into objectives, capacity and competencies for the team.
- Recruitment, onboarding, employee development, performance and sustainable employability.
- Planning and assigning employees based on project needs, experience, development and personal ambitions.
- Preparing prototype build projects, including feasibility analyses, cost calculations, quotation input, capacity and planning.
- Managing assembly, integration and testing activities.
- Delivering projects within the agreed scope, schedule, costs, specifications and quality standards.
- Maintaining contact with customers and internal stakeholders regarding progress, risks, changes and delivery.
- Monitoring hours, costs, and progress in the ERP system and ensuring projects are properly completed and handed over.
- Continuously improving work preparation, assembly, testing, collaboration and operational processes.
