Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer in the Netherlands to design, implement and validate mechatronic subsystems with emphasis on electrical design, motion control and PLC-based machine control. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to meet functional and safety requirements and support various project stages from concept through commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor or Master in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with PLCs

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in machine building or mechatronic systems.
Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R).
Experience with motion control systems and electrical design tools like EPLAN.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Translating specifications into functional designs and control concepts (PLC, motion, safety).
Designing and documenting electrical systems including schematics and I/O structures.
Developing, testing and maintaining PLC-based control software.
Implementing and optimizing motion control solutions.
Testing and validating systems against functional and safety requirements.
Analyzing and resolving technical issues and machine failures.
Supporting Assembly & Testing, Service and Project Engineering teams.
Working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Contributing to system architecture and concept development.
Participating in integration and commissioning activities.
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
Supporting standardization and continuous improvements.
