Job summary

EAE Solutions seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to translate drawings, 3D models, and vendor data into a complete, clash-free CAD layout of sorting systems for intralogistics and graphic arts projects.

You will create 3D layouts and 2D drawings in Autodesk Inventor, coordinate with multiple suppliers, resolve interface issues before installation, and keep drawings up to date in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's HBO in Mechanical Engineering or MBO Level 4+ with strong motivation letter.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor is required; Vault is an advantage.
• Ability to switch between high-level system layouts and detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Translate drawings, 3D models and supplier data into a complete CAD layout.
• Create 3D layouts and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Identify clashes and interface issues before installation and ensure drawings are up to date.

Mechanical Project Engineer - CAD Layout

Your Mission

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you are the key link between multiple suppliers and our internal project team. You transform drawings, 3D models, and technical information from various parties into one complete and detailed overview of the entire sorting system. You'll work on projects for both the intralogistics and graphic arts industries, ensuring that every component fits together seamlessly while identifying and resolving potential issues during the engineering phase.

Your responsibilities include creating detailed 3D layouts and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor. You will combine models and data from a wide range of suppliers—including scan tunnels, weighing systems, mezzanines, conveyors, and sorting machines—into one fully integrated system design. You proactively resolve clashes and interface issues before installation begins and produce installation, assembly, and dimension drawings for on-site construction. Working closely with Project Managers, you ensure that all drawings and revisions remain accurate and up to date. Since every project is tailor-made, you'll tackle unique engineering challenges where attention to detail, system integration, and collaboration are essential.

Your Profile

• A Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Candidates with an MBO Level 4+ qualification are also encouraged to apply, provided they include a strong motivation letter.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor (experience with Autodesk Vault is an advantage).
• The ability to switch easily between high-level system layouts and detailed engineering drawings.
• A precise, solution-oriented mindset and strong communication skills, both internally and with external partners.
