Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for SystemFlex in Boxmeer to develop and maintain design solutions for conveyor and transport systems. You will work with Innovation, Product Management, Supply Chain, Sales Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service to meet customer needs while maintaining hygiene, reliability, and safety.

You will contribute to standardization, automation, and digital engineering within a model-based environment and support CTO-driven product platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a closely related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience engineering technical systems in machine building or related industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience with configurable products, conveyors, or material handling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support lifecycle management for assigned systems and product families.
• Develop customer-specific solutions based on standard products and modular blocks.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and document design changes clearly.
• Create and maintain BOMs, assemblies, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with machine safety requirements and international standards.
• Translate customer requirements into configurable technical solutions in a model-based environment.
