Job summary

Tective Robotics in Delft is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Mid-Level / Senior) to design mechanical systems and enclosures that support our autonomous drone technology. You will primarily work on ground-based equipment and flight support systems, with a focus on robust, manufacturable products for high-volume production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, produce detailed drawings and BOMs in SolidWorks, and contribute to continuous improvements in production processes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SolidWorks or a comparable CAD program.
• Experience in sheet metal design.
• Ability to translate concepts into practical, manufacturable designs.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize sheet metal designs for manufacturing.

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will primarily focus on the design and development of mechanical systems and enclosures that support our products. The majority of your work will involve the mechanical design of ground-based equipment and flight support systems rather than the drone itself. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing robust, manufacturable products for series production.

Required:

• Fundamental understanding of DC power systems.
• Fundamental understanding of generator systems and diesel engines.
