Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in The Hague, Netherlands to develop robust mechanical systems for marine and automotive applications using Siemens NX and Teamcenter. You will translate requirements into manufacturable designs, perform analyses, and coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure designs meet industry standards.

The role requires 3–5+ years of relevant experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
3 to 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Strong hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
Background in marine or automotive industry is a plus.
Solid understanding of mechanical principles, manufacturing processes, and industrial standards.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D designs and 2D drawings using Siemens NX.
Manage product structures, revisions, and documentation within Teamcenter.
Translate functional requirements into manufacturable mechanical solutions.
Collaborate with production, quality, and project engineering teams.
Perform tolerance analyses, material selection, and design calculations.
Ensure compliance with marine or automotive standards and certification requirements.
Support prototype builds, testing activities, and design validation.
