Job summary

Mohawk Lifts in Amsterdam, NY seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop new lift products and improvements for North American markets. You will own projects from concept through production release, applying strong analytical skills and creativity to deliver world-class, safe equipment.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, sales and service teams, perform stress analyses, maintain CAD models and BOMs, and support certification testing and regulatory compliance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years of experience as a Design Engineer.
• 3+ years of design experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally involving capital equipment.
• Strong CAD experience; Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and stress analysis.
• Experience developing products from concept through production release.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Electrical engineering knowledge or experience is a plus.
