Job summary

Redpath Limited is seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics for the Voisey’s Bay underground mining project in Newfoundland and Labrador. Mechanics will work on a 14/14 rotation in a remote camp, maintaining and repairing a fleet of mining equipment.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification or 3+ years as a mechanic in mining, construction, or similar industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic software and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a fleet of underground mining equipment.
• Work on a 14/14 rotation in a remote camp.

Redpath Limited is seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics for their Voisey’s Bay underground mining project in Newfoundland and Labrador. Mechanics will work on a 14/14 rotation in a remote camp setting, maintaining and repairing a fleet of mining equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for those with mining or heavy equipment experience to join a reputable company and contribute to a major mining operation. What You’ll Need

• Journeyperson certification and/or minimum 3 years as a mechanic in mining, construction, or similar industry
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic literacy (read, write, basic math, and read blueprints)
• Ability to read and understand hydraulic/electrical schematics
• Experience with diagnostic software (handheld and computer-based)
• Ability to service/diagnose diesel engines and powertrain/brake components
• Familiarity with underground mobile equipment braking regulations/testing
• Ability to use/understand parts and service manuals
• Pre-employment drug test, medical, and criminal background check required
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently
• Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
