LION develops and produces fire simulation systems for training purposes all over the world. These are used by fire departments, defense forces, emergency response organizations and industrial companies, among others. We are originally a family business, which still characterizes the corporate culture. Our parent company is also a family business that has existed for 126 years. From EMEA we work with about 55 employees for the success of LION.
The department is part of the operations team. Operations includes all activities required to engineer, make and test our products/projects. The department ensures that all products sold within a project are safe to use and that there is a constant drive to improve these products. The mechanic is responsible for performing assembly/installation work for the disciplines of gas, water and air technology based on design/work drawings of the technical installations and components of these installations. In addition, you will also be engaged in the preparation, assembly and testing of a wide variety of fire/smoke and digital standard products.

You will work in a team on different projects that are made based on the customer's requirements. The training projects are diverse; from a fire house or aircraft installation to a training unit with fire simulators and safety equipment.
You are an (experienced) mechanic who has a high degree of independence, motivation and sense of responsibility. You are the person who puts safety and quality first and has an eye for detail. You enjoy working on different projects and have a lot of variety in your work. In addition, you are result-oriented, like to help change and have a passion for working with technology.
Preferably you have an education towards Utilities/Installation Technology/Mechatronics, but at least a strong technical affinity combined with MBO level 3 or 4 and a willingness to learn. It is important that you have an eye for detail and work well in a team. A VCA-certificate is handy, but if you want to get this with us, this is also good.
